Franklin Law

About Us

A new era for legal practice in the area began when Franklin Law opened its doors on the 1st of April 2003. John White, Shaun Bellamy and Grant Litchfield joined forces to provide the Franklin District with a firm with the resources of a big city firm that still retained the service-first ethos of a small town partnership.

Prior to the establishment of Franklin Law, John had operated as a sole practitioner in Pukekohe for 11 years, Shaun had been a partner in a Waiuku law firm for more than 20 years, and Grant had been working from Waiau Pa as a litigator. The three principals saw the opportunity to establish a new law firm in Franklin as the ideal way ahead – with each continuing to work with his existing loyal client base as well as growing into new areas.

Since that day in 2003, the firm has expanded rapidly. Franklin Law's growth has not only been due to the rapid expansion of the Pukekohe and Franklin communities but also through the very experienced support staff we have managed to recruit.

Working in teams is an important aspect of our modus operandi. Each team is led by a partner who generally always attends the first interview with any client. This personal approach is one that clients notice and appreciate. Many of our client relationships go back many years – generations, in fact - as the partners have helped many businesses grow and have looked after the legal needs of families in Franklin and surrounding areas.

We also take our role within the local community very seriously - involvement in community projects and organisations, alongside our clients and their families, is an integral aspect of our business.
