Shaun Bellamy LLB Shaun Bellamy LLB

One of Franklin Law’s founding partners, Shaun’s skills are in property, resource law, subdivisions, estates and commercial law. Known as a strong advocate for his clients’ rights, Shaun works out of both our Pukekohe and Waiuku offices. Always keen to consider the situation from his client’s perspective, he has a well-deserved reputation for being friendly and approachable.

Away from work (when he gets the chance!), Shaun is a keen vintage motorist – a long-time interest he shares with his two brothers.

Grant Litchfield LLB Grant Litchfield LLB

A Franklin Law Partner since the firm opened in 2003, Grant specialises in family, matrimonial and general law and litigation. Kelly Jones LLB Kelly Jones LLB

Kelly joined the partnership of Franklin Law on 1st April 2009. Prior to this appointment Kelly had been a senior solicitor with the firm since February 2007. Kelly specialises in relationship property, residential and commercial property, and succession planning. Thorough and conscientious, her rural upbringing gives her a special perspective on family businesses.

Always looking for a challenge, Kelly is active in various sports, is a committee member of the Pukekohe Business Professional Womens Club and is an officer in the NZ Territorial Army.

Kevin House LLB, BA, M.ComLaw(Hons) Kevin House LLB, BA, M.ComLaw(Hons)

Kevin joined Franklin Law in 2009 following a move to the Franklin area, and became a partner on 1 October 2010. Kevin has had 30 years of practice as a commercial lawyer, mostly as a partner in Auckland city commercial law firms.

Kevin has experience and skill in a wide range of commercial, corporate, trust and contract law as well as being involved in advice to directors, shareholders and partners over matters affecting their businesses and their rights and liabilities. He has worked closely over a number of years with other professionals, particularly accountants, in assisting clients with legal input to best preserve, grow and eventually realise the value of their businesses and in resolving business disagreements which inevitably occur from time to time.

His particular areas of expertise encompass business structures and trust and tax law, which includes asset planning and business planning protection for corporate shareholders and directors and individuals wishing to preserve and protect wealth. Kevin’s commercial and trust law knowledge and experience provide a valuable resource for the benefit of the firm and our clients.

Outside of practising law Kevin resides in the Waiau Pa area where he spends a lot of his non legal time on a small farm block. A number of his immediate family have also moved to the area.

Peter Tatham LLB Peter Tatham LLB

A Senior Solicitor with Franklin Law since 2007, Peter specialises in estates and conveyancing as well as commercial, employment and general law. Peter currently undertakes the firm’s criminal practice and can handle other types of court work as well. With over 18 years experience across a wide spectrum of the law, Peter’s philosophy is to be very flexible and approachable to all clients.

Living in Waiuku, Peter enjoys sailing, soccer and reading.

Michelle Finch LLB, BA Michelle Peilua
(nee Finch) LLB, BA

Michelle specialises in family and matrimonial law and considers it a privilege to help her clients through often very difficult situations, with the wellbeing of the children always paramount. She is an invaluable addition to the Franklin Law team.

As well as leading a high school youth group and organising Bible study for young adults, Michelle also dedicates some of her free time to Youthline.

Nilson Geiger LLB(Hons), LLM Nilson Geiger LLB(Hons), LLM

Joined September 2010

Nilson specialises in civil litigation. He studied and completed both his Bachelors of law and Masters in International Law in England. Nilson pays a lot of attention to detail in his research in order to draw a full picture for his clients. His approach is always logical and straight-forward (without beating around the bush) so that his clients completely understand the issues at hand.

Nilson has lived in many countries of the world and is therefore very open-minded and easy to talk to.

In his spare time he enjoys playing soccer/basketball and spending time with his family.

Heidi Gray-Holland BA, LLB (Hons) Heidi Gray-Holland BA, LLB (Hons)

Heidi joined the team at Franklin Law in September 2010 after graduating from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Bachelor of Arts.

Heidi specialises in family law. She has a strong knowledge of the law of relationship property, having focussed on the division of relationship property as the topic for her Honours dissertation. Heidi is also passionate about working closely with her clients to reach a practical arrangement for the ongoing care of their children.

Always on the go, Heidi enjoys road tripping around our beautiful country. You will also find her cheering loudly for the Warriors at Mt Smart Stadium or picnicking in the sun at the cricket.

Raghad Al-Hilali LLB Raghad JARALLA
(nee Al-Hilali) LLB

Raghad joined Franklin Law’s commercial team in November 2010. Prior to that Raghad was an in-house solicitor at Franklin District Council for almost two years where she practised property, resource management and local government law.

Originally from Baghdad, Iraq, Raghad, along with her family moved out of Iraq in 1993 due to the war and travelled within the Middle East. Her family then immigrated to New Zealand in 1997. She therefore still speaks and understands the Arabic language. After finishing her college education, she studied Law in Victoria University of Wellington graduating in 2008. Raghad has a passion for helping people who are in need and is a practical thinker who strives to achieve the best possible results for her clients.

Outside of work, Raghad is an active member in her local gym and enjoys learning various styles of artistic and cultural dancing in her spare time.
