Kevin joined Franklin Law in 2009 following a move to the Franklin area, and became a partner on 1 October 2010. Kevin has had 30 years of practice as a commercial lawyer, mostly as a partner in Auckland city commercial law firms.
Kevin has experience and skill in a wide range of commercial, corporate, trust and contract law as well as being involved in advice to directors, shareholders and partners over matters affecting their businesses and their rights and liabilities. He has worked closely over a number of years with other professionals, particularly accountants, in assisting clients with legal input to best preserve, grow and eventually realise the value of their businesses and in resolving business disagreements which inevitably occur from time to time.
His particular areas of expertise encompass business structures and trust and tax law, which includes asset planning and business planning protection for corporate shareholders and directors and individuals wishing to preserve and protect wealth. Kevin’s commercial and trust law knowledge and experience provide a valuable resource for the benefit of the firm and our clients.
Outside of practising law Kevin resides in the Waiau Pa area where he spends a lot of his non legal time on a small farm block. A number of his immediate family have also moved to the area.
