Introducing: The Franklin Law Property Development Team

The legal landscape that we face today is continually evolving. The new level of legal complexity means that it is increasingly difficult for some firms and practitioners to keep up to date with the ever-changing laws and regulations. At Franklin Law our lawyers specialise in their chosen fields. This means, not only do our lawyers provide a superior quality service, but our clients do not pay for lawyers to be trained “on the job”.
Franklin Law has a strong and highly regarded specialist property development unit. The unit is headed by Commercial Property Partner Glen Low and it has a proven track record in subdivisions (both large and small), boundary adjustments, transferable title subdivisions, claims for adverse possession, removal of redundant covenants and easements and all areas associated with property development and complex property law.

Glen is regularly asked to speak at professional seminars attended by lawyers in Auckland and throughout the country via the internet on subjects such as rural subdivisions, easements and covenants and technical legal aspects of carrying out subdivisions. In addition, Glen’s team has updated LexisNexis’ precedent library (a legal online library used by law firms up and down New Zealand) with respect to changes to the Land Transfer Act and the update of legal documentation used by other law firms as precedents. In particular, legal rising star Jasmine Daroch has recently co-authored a property sharing precedent with Glen, which is now being used by solicitors throughout the country.

“There are still some Franklin locals travelling to the city to obtain legal advice and services in relation to property development and subdivisions when they could be obtaining top quality expertise here at a very competitive and frequently lower cost.” – Glen Low, Partner, Franklin Law

Franklin Law’s mission is not to provide legal services comparable to what clients might receive at the larger city firms but to exceed the quality of those services in the areas in which Franklin Law has chosen to specialise. This means that Franklin locals can use Franklin based lawyers to look after their property development legal needs in Franklin and beyond.
